Ash was an amazing server. We had the salmon and the strawberry spinach salad. It was amazing. The salmon was probably the best salmon I've ever had. I had the Sedona Sunset drink and if I didn't have to drive, I would've had a couple more.

The "Trail Boss Sampler" was more than enough - we two shared and were satiated. Appreciated were the free refills of Arnold Palmers. Atmosphere and settings were appreciated. Metered parking right in front (free parking a block or two away).

A surprise gem! Greeted by warm smile from the hostess and an attentive waiter. Cornbread was not as warm as we hope as the center was not as warm as the outside. Good flavor though. The variety of entrees were unexpected. The dry aged bison ribeye thickness cut was just right, not too thin or thick. Cooked medium. Very flavorful. Bbq sauce accompanied the bison ribeye, which isn't needed. The ribeye, medium, was right for the price. Can the steaks be better? Of course, but for the value, it's great for the quality.

I'm not going to lie, seeing the cacti fries on the menu on the outside is the reason we came in for dinner. I was happy to see several vegetarian options on the menu, including a fajita dish, but I opted for a salad. The strawberry salad was very good (especially the goat cheese and candied walnuts) and big enough to share for dinner! The cacti fries were great and tasted a little like fried pickles. I would get those again! The ambiance of the restaurant is fun with decorations fitting for a cowboy theme. The service was very quick and friendly as well. The restaurant is located along the walkable stretch in Sedona. We opted to walk there from our hotel at night when it was cooler. On a Monday night in July, it seemed pretty popular!

I don't see game meat offered typically so I was intrigued when I saw rattlesnake sausage, bison, and elk on the menu. Cactus fries sounded interesting as well. We ordered the sampler and while I did not enjoy every item it felt like a good way to try the cactus fries without ordering a large order of it. And I have to say the fries wasn't my favorite. I wanted to try it out of curiosity but ultimately it wasn't satisfying. It didn't have a good texture to it. More like a bell pepper past its prime. If you ever had the awesome blossom it's the same idea minus the awesome. And the slight tartness that came though was more unpleasant than delicious. I dipped it in the prickly pear cactus sauce but it was too thin and mellow to truly do anything for the fries. I would not order it again. The rattlesnake sausage was tasty. Very tender. Similar to a ground bird (ie turkey) but flavor so mild and unique that all I can say is that it tastes like snake. The cube of bison on the skewers had a delicious sweet sauce coating it. I've eaten bison before so this was a very tender cut. The flatbread was filler but my kids liked it. For my entree I ordered the elk chops. I don't believe I had elk before. I expected it to be similar to lamb but the flavor is actual more mild than lamb. The sweet potato mash it came with was cloyingly sweet and I would have preferred seasonal vegetables. Because the grilled vegetables here are amazing! We ordered a plain hamburger off the kid menu for my son and opted for vegetables. While the burger was way overcooked the grilled squash, zucchini, and asparagus were amazing! Tip: ask to replace sweet potato mash with either potato mash or grilled vegetables Skip cactus fries unless you are really dying to know.

April 2024 We dined in on a Wednesday evening and did not need reservations and got a table right away. We sat outside, which in mid-April can get a little chilly when the sun sets. Our server was Adam and he was great!! I only wish he would have warned us about the portion sizes, because honestly the plates can comfortably feed two people. A BIG heads up, this place is ridiculously expensive!! Dinner for 2 people was $100. We tipped Adam very well, because he did a great job. But wow, we were not expecting a $92 bill for two entrees and one alcoholic beverage. If I visit Sedona, I probably wouldn't dine here. The food wasn't terrible, but it also didn't wow me either.

I stopped in for Sunday lunch at the Cowboy Club Grill because they had a bison burger on the menu. We arrived at 11:45 AM and were seated immediately. The decor was awesome. It made me feel like I was visiting a ranch. My friend was excited they had cactus fries. We first tried cactus in Mexico a few years back and loved it. Our server was friendly and attentive. We ordered the bison burger and cactus fries and split the meal. The bison burger was cooked perfectly, juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. And the cactus fries with the sweet and spicy dip were delicious! I highly recommend both menu items. The green beans were seasoned nicely but had too many strings. I ordered the prickly pear margarita with blanco tequila, triple sec, sweet & sour and prickly pear syrup. My friend purchased a mojito. I loved my drink! My friends drink was just OK. I'm glad I purchased the margarita;) I highly recommend you stop in for a burger and fries!
